Marintha Tewksbury has been practicing acupuncture in the Bay Area for over 30 years. She received her Master of Science in Traditional Chinese Medicine in 1993 from the Academy of Chinese Culture & Health Sciences. Marintha has an insatiable curiosity when it comes to healing arts and continues to study a variety of modalities. She spent five years in apprenticeship with teachers of the Lauren Berry method of bodywork and four years studying Craniosacral Therapy through the Upledger Institute. She has spent 10 years studying with Sharon Wizenbaum and is certified in her White Pine Institute’s Graduate Mentorship Program.  She recently completed Mazin Al-Khafaji’s Diplomat Course in dermatology in Chinese medicine and has a specialty certification from the International TCM Dermatology Association.  She is a devoted follower of Toby Daly and is honored to be one of a few designated teaching assistants in Saam acupuncture for Toby Daly. She deeply enjoys her role as clinic supervisor at her alma mater, ACCHS, where she has a chance to dive into the diagnostics of Chinese medicine and nurture new acupuncturists.  She is excited to take on this same role in the newly emerging Chinese Medicine Benevolent Academy.
